Fixing to the wall structure
Floor-to-ceiling units need fixing points identified before build — into masonry, timber studwork, or a mix where a chimney breast meets a stud partition. The quote should confirm whether the fitter has checked wall construction at survey or is assuming it, since fixing a heavy loaded unit into plasterboard alone with no stud behind it is a genuine failure risk.
